What is a "document"?
A document is one generation request that produces one PDF, DOCX, or XLSX output. Regenerations from snapshot (downloads) do not count.
Can I test before going live?
Yes. All plans include a staging environment with sk_test_ API keys. Staging generations apply an automatic watermark and don't count toward your production quota.
What happens if I exceed my monthly limit?
We send a warning at 80% usage. Once the limit is reached, generation is paused until the next billing cycle or you upgrade. No surprise charges.
Is data stored on your servers?
By default DocuForge uses Metadata-First mode: only the frozen JSON snapshot is stored. PDFs are regenerated on demand. Enterprise plans can optionally enable binary storage in your own S3 bucket.
